Tye groomers went up Thursday and packed down all the new snow from earlier in the week. Due to an inversion, the temps never dropped down to the lows that town had. Actually, they were very warm; 44 on Tuesday. The 24" of snow that fell, settled down and dried out to around 10-12". It actually groomed up nicely. However, the conditions wont last long. Pahaska is set to receive another 8-10" today and tonight, (Friday).
We are headed up today to knock down what we can and get it as close to groomed as possible for the weekend. We wont be grooming over the weekend, so this will have to work. There may be another inch or two that falls on top but a little cream on top of the trails can be a lovely ski experience.
Stay tuned for our report after we've been up to see how much we have,
Also, if you don't want to make the trip to Pahaska, we groomed a skate lane around the perimeter of Mentock Park. If time allows, we have clearance to groom the Paul Stock trails as well. Enjoy the snowy day in town!
