A non-profit association for Nordic ski & snowshoe enthusiasts in Park County, Wyoming. |
The Park County Nordic Ski Association (PCNSA) maintains 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) of cross country ski trails on public land in the Shoshone National Forest, 52 miles west of Cody, Wyoming just before the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
The trail head, with our members exclusive warming hut, is located to the right of the Pahaska Teepee Resort parking area. For online and GPS mapping programs, you can use the resort's address of 183 N Fork Hwy, Cody, Wyoming 82414. On most general area maps, including Google Maps, our trails are listed as the Pahaska Ski Trails and they are just a bit past the Sleeping Giant Ski area, our local downhill ski location. The Pahaska Teepee parking area will be on your right and our trail head is to the farthest right of the parking lot.
We encourage positive trail etiquette for skiers, as well as snowshoers who can explore our single-tracked trails. It is especially important to maintain the tracks as much as possible for our nordic skiiers so snowshoers can really help by being aware of, and staying out of those tracks. We appreciate it!
Are you coming to the ski trails as a group? If so, please read our guidelines for group use of the trails.
If you're enjoying our trails on snowshoes, please be sure to avoid the grooved lanes and skate lanes,
as snowshoes damage the tracks and make skiing dangerous. Thank you!
